Music has always been able to take us on a journey through time, whether it's by playing classical pieces that are centuries old, or by writing new songs that capture the zeitgeist of the moment. Over half a century ago, musicians started harnessing the power of technology to create sounds that are otherworldly and futuristic.

Synthesizers often embodied the sound of the future. They provided new, never before heard textures and melodies that lead the contemporary listener to imagine what the future could be.
